Artist in Residence with Hudson Warehouse

A Kansas native who relocated to NYC in 2003, Emily Rose Parman has made a home for herself Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway. Particularly at home in the Classics, Ms. Parman first joined forces with Upper West Side fixture Hudson Warehouse in 2010, becoming an Artist in Residence in 2011. Productions with that company include: Cyrano, The Seagull, Taming of the Shrew, Comedy of Errors, The Rover, Richard III, The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare, abridged, King Lear, The Three Musketeers, and Julius Caesar. Also active in New York’s Opera scene Ms. Parman’s work has been featured in productions of Tosca, La Traviata (with Julie Wyma), Pagliacci, Rigoletto, and the World Premiere of Marrying Mozart with Dicapo Opera Theatre, as well as independent productions of contemporary operas such as The Stranger and Baggage by local composer Ishmael Wallace. Most recently, Ms. Parman formed a relationship with Australian Made Entertainment; designing their  productions of Louis Nowra's Cosi, Andrew Bovell's Speaking in Tongues, and the recent US premiere of the Aussie musical Once We Lived Here by Matthew Frank and Dean Bryant. Other credits include Three Sisters with HiveMind Theatre, Cupid and Psyche with Turn to Flesh Productions, All’s Well That Ends Well (with Lynn-Marie Macey) at Theatre 1010, and regionally: Big River, All My Sons, 42nd Street, Crimes of the Heart, Into the Woods, Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice, and Much Ado About Nothing.
